Principal's Message

Dear Young Oak Kim Academy Family,

 

It is an honor to serve you as the principal of Young Oak Kim Academy. I feel privileged to be a part of a community of passionate teachers, dedicated staff, nurturing families, and enthusiastic students.

 

I have over twenty five years of experience as an educator in the Los Angeles Unified School District, most of which has been with secondary schools. My experiences include being a high school science teacher, District Secondary Science coordinator, and assistant principal. I am here to work with all stakeholders to support all students to achieve their potential.

 

Young Oak Kim Academy is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and provides an excellent STEM program to prepare students to be critical thinkers and responsible citizens so that they are ready for high school, college, and career. Partnership between families, community, and school is crucial in ensuring student success. I encourage families to come take part in their student’s education. I hope to see you at family and student events and in the parent center taking advantage of resources we have.

 

I am looking forward to a wonderful year at Kim Academy and the opportunity to get to know and collaborate with you as students, families, and community members.
